This year 2024 will be the 22nd year we are apart
from him and his birthday in heaven
Six months ago you ask my permission to go to your Fathers (God) side. You honored your Mother and Father with your last earthly act before you died. I thank you for that obedience and that you love us enough to ask. You were a good and faithful son until the last.
As the sun sets to end the day know that our love for you will never end as each day goes by and we get closer to our reunion with you we will continue to perfect the love we have for you and gather it together to give to you when we all meet at last.

Here is a little bit about Alex
Alex was baptized on the island of Paros, at the little church in the middle of the bay, as seen in this photo. Through out all his life he spent his summers in Paros and the Greek islands sailing and enjoying the greek sea which he loved dearly. On the boat you can see him jumping, spear fishing, swimming and diving with his sister and friends.
On our sailing trips around the islands, he would sail side by side with his Dad constantly making jokes and giving everyone strength from the laughter.
He attended ACS - American Community School of Athens, one of the best schools in Greece. Always charming, warm and friendly he made friends everywhere. Always outside with his friends,: hiking, bicycling and swimming in our neighborhood in Voula,.
At an early age Alex developed a love for speed. He began very young racing go-carts and even co-piloting his father in off road races in the Land-Rover. As he got older he would often go rock climbing with his good friend Spiro. Spiro and Alex had many adventures together. They managed to create small bombs and would set them off in the backyard. They drove a bulldozer in the middle of the night crashing into a few walls. (And that is part of the story that we know about it.....)
Alex had a close relationship with his Godfather Spyro, who loved him as his own son. They would always make each other laugh.
When we left Greece to come to the States in 1994 he made a list in which he explained to his Mom what toys he would give to his friends since he can buy new ones in US. Always giving, always caring.
Last summer in his last visit to Greece he called me to tell me: " Dad I swam from our home all the way across to Naoussa, 2 times..." (see white line, about 1 mile each way on photo below). If tears are a way to tell how much a Son was loved you can be sure there is plenty of them here.
